I am a pediatrician who takes care of HIV exposed and infected infants and children. Part D is how many of our patients receive care. Removal of this funding source will leave many of the most vulnerable patients without access to care and may lead to increased infants becoming infected with HIV.
Part C funding does not have provisions for care to infants and children so these populations will be left without access to care.
